Department of Oral Diagnostics, Digital Health and Health Services Research – Your first contact for everything to do with teeth

Our department and clinic was founded on April 1, 2020 and is unique worldwide.

We are the first point of contact for all patients who visit the CharitéCentrum3 for dental, oral and maxillofacial medicine - both during the day and at night. We cover the entire spectrum of clinical dentistry. Together with you, we will develop a therapy plan, which will be carried out by specialized colleagues from our or other departments, if necessary.

We offer an outpatient clinic for geriatric dentistry, where residents of nursing homes can visit us or be transported to us for treatment under appropriately specialised conditions (including infection control).

We are the contact for dental treatments during the night, on weekends and holidays. We are there for our patients throughout the day, including interdisciplinary dental trauma consultations. Please call us if you have any questions or would like to make an appointment.

We train future dentists in the fields of diagnostics and therapy planning, pain and acute dentistry, radiology, dental traumatology and other imaging in dentistry, digital dentistry as well as health care research, epidemiology, evidence-based medicine and health economics. The concentration of these subject areas in an independent department is unique in Germany.

We are a global leader in research in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI) in dentistry, data-supported precision dentistry and integrative care research. We work closely with national partners of worldwide renown and reputation as well as with various other national and international committees. Detailed information can be found in our research section.

It is our aim to be your first contact for

  • Artificial intelligence in dentistry
  • to be integrative healthcare research.
